Makes me want to draw something! PHOTO: B Hundreds Sometimes people ask me what medium I like to use. These days I suspect a lot of cartoonists use the computer to generate their art. Even so, I'm sure many of the best cartoonists still draw their characters by hand. There's something satisfying about that. Maybe it goes back to years of training in art and cartoonist school, I don't know! My favorite medium is a felt-tipped pen. I like the way it fits in my hand, the way I can maneuver it. ![]() Here's an optimist for you! 2010 (c) Sam Lloyd Hutchinson. All rights reserved. The economy today is not much fun...of course, I can remember even tougher times in the Great Depression. But you know what, with ingenuity and perseverance, we made it. We pulled through. And you know what? We can do it again, and we will! ![]() Sam Lloyd draws a cartoon for Bobby! PHOTO: Bobby Hundreds In 2009, Bobby Hundreds invited my daughter, Stephanie, and I to meet with him in his Los Angeles warehouse. It turns out he and his fans had discovered "Parky" a year earlier. They had no idea about Parky's background, or even that the original artist was still alive... They just thought Parky was a pretty cool kangaroo! Well, we had a real fun visit. Who would have thought I'd still be getting interviews and discovering new fans at age 85?!! I hope that inspires a few readers!! Bobby showed us around his warehouse and told us about his exciting business and fans. He also interviewed me and did a great write-up on his website. Hello and welcome to my website! I trust you will find something that tickles your funny bone, so please lean back in your chair and enjoy!
